Chase your Winter Head Cold Away
As winter sets in and the tissues boxes are running out faster then you can replace them we are all begging for some remedies to help soothe our head colds.
Here are a few of my natural remedies that may help ease your symptoms and keep you from feeling so miserable.
Steam Inhalation
Seems to be something we’ve all forgotten about! Fill a glass or porcelain bowl halfway with with hot water (make sure the bowl is on a stable and secure bench or table).
Add up to four (4) drops of essential oil to the bowl. Our Breathe blend is a good one to use and place a towel over your head and inhale. Don't forget to keep your eyes closed so they don't get irritated.
You can do this up to 3 times a day.
Drink a Warm Beverage | my Nona's way

Fill a small saucepan of water and add 1 clove of garlic (crushed), 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 lemon squeezed and bring to the boil. After 5 mins take the water from the stove and pour contents into a mug using a tea strainer to hold back the bits. Sip slowly.
Get yourself into a Warm Bath
Sitting in a warm bath will soothe those sore muscles and relax your body so that you can get to sleep a little easier.
Adding a handful of our Soothe Bath Salts will really help because of the three key essential oils I’ve put into the blend;
Rest and stay hydrated! Everyone says it and it’s true you can’t fight a cold when you are running around your body uses more energy then usual to fight a cold so rest should be a top priority. So curl up up in the blankets, sleep. read or catch up on some Netflix.
Please note this is general advice, and does not replace any advice that you have been given by a medical practitioner. Consult a doctor if you are suffering chronic cold & flu symptoms. These tips should not be used if you are pregnant and also under 10 years of age (eucalyptus oil should be used in very small doses especially in young children.
