Relaxing is so important...why do we make it so hard?

Relax (verb)....make or become less tense or anxious

We all know a relaxed mind & body is advantageous to your health and well-being but training yourself to take care of yourself is hard.  How do you sit down and relax without feeling guilty, without thinking about all the things you "should" be doing and how do you turn the switch off in your mind from replaying the events of the day.

Don't let me fool you I'm a massive stress head I could write pages on the things I do and the mess I cause when I create a hurricane of panic in my head but I like to say now that I'm a recovering stress head, I've found ways to reduce my panic, reduce the niggling voices in my head and start enjoying the life I have. 

Here are my top five tips and not in any particular order;

 1.   Find a Natural Therapy 

You'll be amazed at how powerful your body is to heal itself if only we took the time to listen to it.  I have had lots success with Kinesiology, Acupuncture and more recently Reflexology and encourage everyone to explore a therapy.

 2.  Essential Oils

Creating a comfortable and relaxed mood in your home by diffusing oils benefits everyone. 3.  Catch up with a friend

Make time to catch up with someone you haven't seen in a while, someone that makes you laugh or that you can offload onto without judgement.  After a good night out for dinner and wine with friends I always remember how simple fun things can be.

4.  Have a good nights sleep

A good night sleep rests your mind and makes for a productive next day!.  A nice cup of tea, Chamomile or  Green Tea (decaffeinated)  will help relax your nervous system.
